Privacy and security

Your image is processed entirely within your browser using the Canvas API. No file is uploaded to any server, and all pixel data stays on your device until you choose to download the result. For strong redaction (e.g. covering a face or license plate), use a high blur intensity and preview the final image before sharing.

Limitations

  • Blurring is pixel-based and applies a fixed-radius gaussian blur — suitable for most redaction needs but not for legally mandated secure erasure.
  • Works on JPG, PNG and WebP only.
  • Max file size 20MB. Very large images are scaled down for the preview but processed at full resolution, so may take a moment.
  • PNG transparency is preserved on output; JPG output fills transparent areas with white.
